So, we are back from our trip to the Bay Area and I am BUMMED. We had 6 terrific days and nights traveling and camping oceanside in the Airstream and now we are back at home and sans airstream. We left the ’75 at a friend’s mom’s place (40 beautiful acres with an olive orchard) and it was such a sad departure. I absolutely HATE leaving the airstreams. Our house in bordered right now by 16 ft tall burms of snow and there really is no place to park an airstream around our house. So, one is Carson City and the other is in the opposite direction in Placerville. We did get to visit the 2008 yesterday while hanging out with Vince and Megan(who are cool enough to let us park the airstream at their place). I forgot how much I love just sitting in there. I must have sat in the international for about an half an hour, just gazing at the shiny interior and looking forward to the first rally of the year in three weeks. Yippeeeee!!!!! Finally. Boondocking in the Nevada desert. WHOOOO_HOOOOOO! I have to find a way to convince Rome that it is an absolute and imperative necessity to bring one back home. My favorite place to have morning coffee is in an airstream. There is no better way, in my book, to start a morning than to grab a cup of steamy hot coffee, open up the Airstream, turn on the heater and just sit. Quietly watching the kids go to school and the sun coming through the big pines. aaahhhhhhh. We need a bigger yard or something.
